Credit Options Available for ITJ Modules

When you enroll in an ITJ module, you can select from three credit options, 400-level college credit, continuing education units (CEUs), or a non-credit audit option.

Upper Level College Credit

ITJ is finalizing agreements with various colleges to enable students who successfully complete modules and courses to earn upper-level college credit. We have initiated discussions with Beloit College in Wisconsin, California State University at Monterey Bay, and the Monterey Institute for International Studies. Because each institution charges different fees for awarding credit, the cost of modules will vary depending on the university that is selected for the credit option. ITJ is also planning to enable its students to earn graduate credit.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

ITJ is seeking approval from the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to enable the Institute to award CEUs to people who successfully complete ITJ courses. One CEU is awarded for each 10 hours of contact-equivalent time required by a module. Most modules will earn participants a minimum of two CEUs.

Auditing

If you are not interested in earning college credit or CEUs, you can enroll under the audit option. Those who audit ITJ courses have the access to same Institute resources and course activities as those who register for college credit or CEUs. Also, students auditing ITJ courses have the same responsibilities and duties for module activities as do credit earning students.
